François Montand, Brut Blanc de Blancs NV
(Colombard/Ugni Blanc/Chardonnay) The grapes were gently pressed and fermented at low temperature with selected yeasts. After blending and bottling, the liqueur de tirage was added and the second fermentation began. The wine was then aged horizontally for at least nine months before being disgorged and prepared for shipment. Soils are thin and constituted of limestone boulders coated with brown clays or clay with cherts from the dissolution of limestone. The vineyard's subsoil mainly consists of marl (iridescent red marlsand green from the Trias, gray marl of Lias).
A pale gold with a hint of green and fine bubbles, this sparling wine offers aromas of white flowers and citrus. Creamy and smooth on the palate with notes of freshly baked bread, Golden Delicious apples and Meyer lemons.
