Domaine Laurent in Burgundy is managed by former pâtissier Dominique Laurent, who produces exemplary wines from his small négociant business located in Nuits-St-Georges.

Dominique Laurent roared into the wine scene in 1988 with his incredibly ripe, bold, 200% new oak wines – staking a reputation that would follow him through the ensuing years.  A reputation based on power and oak, that thrilled the critics when he made his debut, but presented Burgundy fans with a "caricature" of his wines that was misguided at the time - and distorted today.
